We're glad you're here! We welcome you to Kiscsévpuszta, where we host weddings and events in a picturesque, natural setting. Kiscsévpuszta is located in the outskirts of the village of Dág, in the embrace of the Gete, 1 hour from Budapest, in the vicinity of Esztergom. There are no inhabited areas near the farm, so you can party as long as you like.
FIRST MENTIONS
Although it was probably inhabited from the Neolithic period and Roman finds have been found, the first official records date back to 1262. In the letters in the Primate's Archives, the area of the present-day Kiscsevpuszta was still referred to as Chw or Cheu.
MARGARET ISLAND NUNS
In 1328 the Margaret Island nuns acquired land in the area, which they held until Turkish times. At this time, the Archbishop of Esztergom was the largest landowner in the area, in addition to privately owned lands.
DONATIONS FROM KING MATTHIAS
According to the surviving archival documents, in the 15th century King Matthias donated land around the present-day Kiscsévpuszta to the Esztergom Chapter.
TURKISH OCCUPATION
During the Turkish occupation, the area was depopulated and agricultural production ceased due to lack of labour. In the royal registry of 1564, Csév is referred to as a destroyed village.
REBUILDING
After the Turks left, the area was settled by people from the north of the country in order to revive agriculture. At that time the Archbishop of Esztergom was the sole landowner.
THE MANSION BUILDING
The Kiscsévpuszta mansion is built in neoclassical style.
PRODUCER COOPERATIVES
After the Second World War, the land was taken from the Esztergom Chapter and until the change of regime, it was owned by several owners: first by the Kiscsévpuszta State Farm, from 1951 by the Jószerencsét Tszcs, from 1964 by the Sárisápi New Life Mgtsz, and finally by the Piliscsaba State Farm.
PRESENT TIME
During the regime change the farm was privately owned, and in 2016 it was bought by Gete Völgye Zrt. The farm has been in operation since 2023.
